We love welcoming new people along to our meetings, so if you’re interested in improving your public speaking and leadership abilities, please feel free to come along as a guest and see what the club is all about. There’s no obligation to join or speak – you’ll receive a warm welcome and be introduced to a member who can explain the evening and answer any questions you have. Guests are welcome up to two times before becoming members.
New members are always welcome regardless of experience or speaking abilities – Toastmasters is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.

Become a member
After attending a club meeting as a guest, you will be contacted by a club officer to get a membership! Subscriptions are £84 per 6-month period, with a one-off joining fee of £18 which covers the cost of your training manuals and guides. As a member of Toastmasters International you will receive a monthly online magazine full of articles on public speaking and personal development. This also welcome at any of the other clubs in the UK and around the world.

By becoming a member of Toastmasters International and Maidenhead Speakers Club, you promise:
- To attend club meetings regularly
- To prepare all of my projects to the best of my ability, basing them on the Toastmasters education program
- To prepare for and fulfil meeting assignments
- To provide fellow members with helpful, constructive evaluations
- To help the club maintain the positive, friendly environment necessary for all members to learn & grow
- To serve my club as an officer when called upon to do so
- To treat my fellow club members and our guests with respect and courtesy
- To bring guests to club meetings so they see the benefits Toastmasters membership offers
- To adhere to the guidelines and rules for all Toastmasters educational and recognition programs
- To act within Toastmasters’ core values of integrity, respect, service and excellence during the conduct of all Toastmasters activities
